Description

Bring Collaboration Spaces to the Next Level

The UCX-2×2-H40 universal matrix switcher enhances and extends the possibilities of a meeting room and allows meeting participants to easily use their own devices such as laptops, and preferred video conference platforms while also to utilize the available assets of the meeting space, just like the HDMI displays, room cameras and other USB peripherals.

Supporting 5K

Taurus devices deliver flawless switching for 5K 21:9 ultrawide displays, unlocking a new level of visual performance for modern meeting and control environments. Designed to enhance layouts like Microsoft Teams Front Row and other collaboration platforms, Taurus provides expanded screen real estate for design, data visualization, and multi-window workflows. With uncompressed HDMI 2.0 video and ultra-low latency, it’s the ideal choice for simulation, engineering, broadcast, and executive boardroom applications.

Exploit the Possibilities of USB connectivity

The device is designed to be a centerpiece of any collaboration space, and can be connected to four USB peripherals via USB-A type connectors.

Hosts then can connect their own devices to the UCX-2×2-H40 and gain control over the rooms peripherals. By simply using a combination of HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.1 Gen1 connections, video and audio signals can be transferred up to a resolution of 5K (5120×2160) via HDMI 2.0 at 30Hz 4:4:4 or 60Hz 4:2:0, as well as 4K@60Hz at 4:4:4 and data speeds up to 5 Gbps.

The device allows up to two hosts to be connected to the system, and also ensures quick and easy switching between the users. Two sets of HDMI 2.0 and USB inputs makes this universal matrix switcher a perfect fit for smaller meeting areas, involving 4-8 people.

Automated room control features are also included through GPIO ports, besides of RS-232 and occupancy sensor connectivity. The switcher also thrives when it comes to audio capabilities, offering analog audio de-embedding feature.

Additional Features and Capabilities

Security is always a key concern to our customers, therefore our engineers ensured that the UCX-2×2-H40 adheres to the strictest security standards. A secure corporate Ethernet interface ensures secure device control and configuration under the SSH, SSL and HTTPS standards.

The Taurus UCX offers noiseless operation, no fan in the device..

In today’s collaboration environments, it is key that the technology offers flexible and versatile ways for participants to unlock the full potential of a collaboration space and they clearly demand to not be limited by the default options offered by their meeting rooms.

The TAURUS UCX product family is Lightware’s ground-breaking innovation offered for this increasingly growing demand for cutting-edge solutions in the world of Unified Communications.

Supporting SNMPv3

SNMP is an industry standard IT protocol used for network device and application monitoring from small systems up to global enterprise level IT environments. Lightware Taurus video switchers are supporting SNMPv3 -the latest and most secure version- and can be integrated to standard IT device monitoring systems like SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.

This way there is no need to create and setup custom AV monitoring solutions neither to invest energy in maintaining those. Lightware Taurus devices can be added to the IT enterprise network and device monitoring system easily and hustle free using the well known standard applications.

Remote System Logging (Syslog)

Taurus devices now support remote system logging via industry-standard Syslog protocols (RFC3164 and RFC5424). This allows seamless integration with external SIEM and log monitoring systems.

  • Forward logs via TCP, UDP, TLS
  • Choose between human-readable and structured formats
  • Easy configuration via LW3 protocol
  • Local journald logging remains unaffected
