The Sennheiser MD 421-II is a legendary professional dynamic microphone renowned for its exceptional versatility in studio, broadcast, and live sound applications. The microphone shall be a professional moving-coil dynamic microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern designed for studio recording, broadcast, live sound reinforcement, and instrument miking applications.
The microphone shall feature a large dynamic diaphragm, rugged metal and reinforced composite housing, effective feedback rejection, and a five-position bass roll-off switch for optimizing low-frequency response under various recording conditions.
The microphone shall provide a frequency response of 30 Hz – 17,000 Hz with a sensitivity (free field, no load) of 2 mV/Pa at 1 kHz. Nominal impedance shall be 250 Ω with a minimum terminating impedance of 1 kΩ.
The microphone shall provide a balanced 3-pin XLR output connector and require no external power supply.
Dimensions shall be 215 × 46 × 49 mm (8.46″ × 1.81″ × 1.93″). Weight shall be 354 grams (12.49 oz).
