The Sennheiser e 835-S-PTT is a dynamic cardioid Push-to-Talk microphone designed for talk-back applications in live sound, broadcast, production, and communication environments. Featuring the renowned sound quality and rugged construction of the legendary e 835, this version incorporates a momentary Push-to-Talk (PTT) switch for reliable, instant voice communication whenever required.
Its cardioid pick-up pattern provides excellent rejection of ambient noise and feedback while maintaining clear, natural speech intelligibility. Built with a rugged metal housing, shock-mounted capsule, and hum-compensating coil, the e 835-S-PTT is engineered for dependable operation in demanding professional environments.
ARCHITECT’S SPECIFICATION
The microphone shall be a dynamic cardioid Push-to-Talk microphone intended for professional talk-back, broadcast, communication, and live production applications. The microphone shall feature a momentary Push-to-Talk (PTT) switch, providing reliable voice transmission only while the switch is engaged.
The microphone shall have a frequency response of 40 Hz – 16,000 Hz and a sensitivity (free field, no load) of 2.7 mV/Pa at 1 kHz. Nominal impedance shall be 350 Ω with a minimum terminating impedance of 1 kΩ.
The microphone shall feature a rugged metal housing, shock-mounted capsule, integrated hum-compensating coil, Push-to-Talk switch, and a balanced 3-pin XLR connector.
Dimensions shall be Ø 48 × 180 mm (1.89″ × 7.09″). Weight shall be 330 grams (11.64 oz).
