Description
The Sennheiser MD 435 is a premium dynamic vocal microphone engineered for professional live performances requiring exceptional vocal detail, transparency, and presence. Derived from the renowned MD 9235 wireless microphone capsule, the MD 435 combines the sonic precision of a high-end condenser microphone with the rugged reliability of a dynamic design.
Featuring a lightweight aluminum-copper voice coil, large diaphragm, and cardioid pickup pattern, the MD 435 delivers outstanding transient response, nuanced high-frequency reproduction, and excellent feedback rejection. A spring-mounted capsule, integrated hum-compensating coil, and rugged all-metal housing ensure dependable performance in demanding touring, broadcast, theater, and live sound environments.
ARCHITECT’S SPECIFICATION
The microphone shall be a professional moving-coil dynamic vocal microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern designed for live performance, broadcast, theater, and studio applications.
The microphone shall feature a lightweight aluminum-copper voice coil, large-diaphragm dynamic capsule, spring-mounted suspension for minimizing handling noise, integrated hum-compensating coil, and rugged all-metal construction. The microphone shall provide exceptional vocal clarity, fast transient response, excellent feedback rejection, and high resistance to electromagnetic interference.
The microphone shall provide a frequency response of 40 Hz – 20,000 Hz and a sensitivity (free field, no load) of 1.8 mV/Pa at 1 kHz. Nominal impedance shall be 245 Ω with a minimum terminating impedance of 1 kΩ.
Maximum sound pressure level shall be 163 dB SPL. Dynamic range shall be 146 dB(A). Equivalent noise level shall be 17 dB(A). The microphone shall provide a balanced 3-pin XLR connector and require no external power supply.
Dimensions shall be Ø 47.5 × 181 mm (1.87″ × 7.13″). Weight shall be 350 grams (12.35 oz).
The microphone shall be the Sennheiser MD 435.
